Getting Capri Island

Capri

How To Reach In Capri Island

The legendary Island of Capri lies to the south of the Bay of Naples. To reach the island you can fly into Naples' airport and from there take a taxi or bus to the ferry ports or travel by train to Naples' Stazione Centrale, Piazza Garibaldi. Follow signs for the ports if you are driving. Non-residents cannot take their cars to Capri for more than half of the year, so these are best left in the secure car parks near the ports. There is a small parking area next to the molo Beverello (parcheggio Buono tel +39 335499658). If this car park is full, try the Parcheggio di Interscambio Autosilo Brin in Via Brin (tel. +39 081.7632827).

  • From Naples - Ferries and hydrofoils to Capri leave from the ports of Molo Beverello and Calata Porta di Massa, which are linked by a shuttle service. In addition to the regular ferry, a rapid ferry service is available from Calata Porta di Massa. Hydrofoils depart from Molo Beverello, which is in Piazza Municipio, near to Via Toledo (town center). Tickets can be bought at the ports. Depending on the sailing company's policy, a supplement is charged for luggage weighing more than 10 or 20 kilos. • From Sorrento - You can also leave for Capri from Sorrento and Castellammare di Stabia, a great alternative if you are touring the Amalfi Coast. ferries and hydrofoils take less time from Sorrento than from Naples.
  • From Salerno, Positano, Amalfi and Ischia - In the summer there are also ferry services from Positano, Amalfi, Salerno and Ischia, but these are less frequent than those from Naples and Sorrento.
